School Admission Appeal

Please use this form to appeal for a place at a school where you have applied and been refused a place. Your appeal will be acknowledged by letter within 10 working days of receipt.

For intake appeals (entry into Reception, Year 3 or Year 7 in the normal admissions round) your appeal will be heard within 40 school days. For in-year appeals, your appeal will be heard within 30 school days.

The Clerk to the Independent Appeal Panel will write to you at least 10 working days before your hearing to advise you of the following:

• date and time of the appeal
• the venue
• including all paperwork for the appeal

Please note:

• The closing date for appeals for Year 7 (in September) to Littleover Community School, Derby Moor Spencer Academy, Da Vinci Academy, City of Derby Academy, UTC Pride Park, Murray Park, Noel Baker and the Bemrose School is Wednesday 29 March 2023.
• The closing date for appeals for entry into Reception or Year 3 in a Junior School in September 2023 is Monday 22 May 2023.
• Appeals received after the closing dates will be heard but at a later date.
